BS EN 1090 EXC2 sets the minimum requirements for all structural steel manufactured for use in the construction industry. Although some of our products don’t fall under this standard, (e.g. stone restraint fixings), our entire factory is audited to comply with it, so everything we produce is subjected to the same rigorous quality assurance (QA) procedures.
In fact, in several areas, our QA procedures exceed the requirements of BS EN 1090 EXC2. For example, to comply with the standard, a full factory audit is required every three years. Whereas our factory undergoes a full audit every 12 months. This reinforces our commitment to the highest quality standards and gives you confidence that the quality in our factory is maintained year after year. Another example is our non-destructive weld testing which is set at twice the level required in BS EN 1090 EXC2.
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
ISO 14001:2015 ensures that Stainless Steel Fixings Limted is identifying, managing, monitoring and controlling their environmental concerns in a 'holistic' manner.
ISO 14001:2015 requires that businesses should consider all environmental aspects important to its operations.
Stainless Steel Fixings Limited have achieved Silver accreditation from the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), a voluntary accreditation scheme which encompasses all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.
Silver accreditation is awarded to operators who maintain their Bronze accreditation and are able to demonstrate that they have developed driver licencing verification systems, vehicles are fitted with blind spot minimisation devices and those over 3.5 tonnes are equipped with a left turn audible warning system.
